It's already April, and that means it's almost time for that most magical time of year...Pittsburgh Craft Beer Week! We’ve got some great events lined up...oh and some great beer too! 

Below is a list of all the events that we’re involved in, but that’s just a taste (get it?) of the events that PCBW has to offer! Visit their website to learn more.

Thursday, April 14
Pittsburgh Craft Beer Week Kick-Off Party at Rock Bottom Brewery, 6-10pm
Kick things off with samples of some of Pittsburgh’s best local breweries.

Friday, April 15
Collaboration Tap Fest! 
We’ll be tapping all three of our Collaborative beers at the Brewpub (147 Julius St) starting at 4pm! We’re featuring collaborations with Grist House & Roundabout, Four Seasons Brewing, and the TRASH Homebrewers! Click here for all the info!

In preparation for all this beer, maybe we’d better do some Beer Belly Yoga! 10am-12pm Yes, we have yoga here at the Brewery! Here's what $25 will get you:

  • 45 minute yoga class, in our taproom, taught by the awesome Rebecca Rankin of I am Yoga in Squirrel Hill.
  • A free 13oz EEBC Fancy-schmancy glass to keep, filled with the beer of your choice.
  • A token, good for a FREE Yoga Class at I am Yoga in Squirrel Hill ($17 value!)

Class size is limited to 40 students, allowing extra space for Beer Bellies as needed.  Doors open at 10am, class starts at 10:30am. Doors will LOCK at 10:30am so your class will not be interrupted... so don't be late!

Meet the Brewers of Pittsburgh Craft Beer Week at Rivertowne North Shore! Come hang out and enjoy a Pittsburgh beer tap takeover from 7-10pm

Monday, April 18
We’re excited to kick off the Ace Hotel’s Brewmaster’s Dinner Series! Four different breweries, each with a three course dinner from Whitfield’s Chef Bethany Zozula, accompanied by four beer pairings in the gym. Reserve your space now! 7pm

Tuesday, April 19
Meet the brewer and join us at Bado’s Pizza Grill & Ale House in Mt. Lebanon, and answer the eternal question: does beer go with pizza? (The answer is: YES) 6-8pm

Wednesday, April 20
t’s trivia night here at East End the first and third Wednesday of every month! Weather permitting, we’ll have our questions outside on the new patio, under the stars! 7-9pm

Thursday, April 21
We’re thrilled to have Brian Meyer from Pittsburgh Craft Beers behind the bar for an informal discussion of beer styles and tastes. Join him as our Beertender for the evening (and yes, we insist that you call him that). Starts at 6pm.

Join us at Franktuary's new Market Square location for a special trivia night with beer lover and esteemed host Drew C!  On Thursday, April 21, at 7 pm, bring up to three teammates to play trivia, taste beer, and chat with East End's brewer Nordy S.  Win prizes, beer, and beer prizes!  Franktuary is located at 115 Forbes Avenue in Market Square. 7pm

Oh boy...we’re heading to Apis Mead & Winery for Beatnik Brewers, a 90’s style poetry jam where Pittsburgh brewers will read their worst Untapped, Yelp & Brewers Advocate reviews in the jazziest way possible. Live music from Basically Skeletons, food from Gyros N’at, and the bitter tears are free. 7-11:30pm

Saturday, April 23
This is the big one! Join us for our 12th annual (wow!) Pedal Pale Ale Keg Ride! We’ll get started and register everyone at 9:30am at the Brewpub, then by 11am we’re on our way to our TOP SECRET DESTINATION, delivering kegs of fresh beer by bicycle! There’s still a few tickets left, so register here!

Saturday, April 23
We’re setting sail on the high seas with a bunch of breweries aboard the Commonwealth Press Beer Barge! Tickets are all sold out, but maybe follow them on social media just in case?

The crafty gang from TRASH homebrewers will be tapping a special pin of their award-winning English mild at the Brewpub today so stop by, meet the winning Homebrewer, and see what all the excitement is about! 6pm

Sunday, April 24
Grist House Brewing is proud to host the second annual Pittsburgh Craft Beer Week Brewers' Olympics will feature 16 local breweries competing in feats of strength, agility, and knowledge in the pursuit of this year's crown. The ticket provides entry and an event t-shirt with proceeds benefiting the Millvale Community Library. The Steer and Wheel and Driftwood Oven will be on hand to feed your cravings as you cheer on your favorite brewery's team. Good-natured ribbing and weird outfits are encouraged.
