Ube Fest!
We're stoked to be part of Ube Fest, hosted by Lola's Eatery and taking place in the parking lot right next to their storefront.
Ube Fest is a vibrant outdoor celebration of Filipino-American culture hosted by Lola’s and is going to be JAM PACKED with awesome vendors providing Filipino food, art, music, and more!
For our part, we'll be sending down two offerings: an Ube-Pineapple Gose and a Barmy Ube-Lime Seltzer! The seltzer is exclusive to the event and Lola's Eatery, but we'll have a bit of the Gose as a draft only option later next week.
What is Ube? Ube is a purple yam that has been staple of Filipino cuisine for hundreds of years and has grown in popularity in the US only much more recently. Mellow, nutty, with notes of vanilla, it is often featured in desserts! It is also very vibrant, conveying a deep purple color to dishes/drinks it's used in, including ours... and maybe anything else it touches! 💜💜💜
