Join us for Kurt Pfaff’s Opening in Mt. Lebanon!
We’re happy to welcome artists Kurt, Pfaff into our Taproom for an opening reception celebrating his work on Friday, June 12th from 5-7pm.
“Kurt Pfaff, a Pittsburgh-based oil painter, has been professionally producing artwork since 1977. Throughout his career, he worked as a graphic designer, illustrator, and owner of an advertising agency. However, Kurt has consistently emphasized that painting has always been a source of immense exhilaration for him. He states, “I lose track of time when I have a brush in my hand.” Mr. Pfaff’s paintings showcase creative explorations on multiple levels. Drawing inspiration from renowned artists of the past, such as John Singer Sargent. Kurt utilizes his experience as an illustrator to narrate stories. He delves into intriguing composition and color theory while embracing a loose impressionistic technique, employing both a brush and a palette knife. His goal is to create texture, raw energy, and spontaneity, complemented by depth achieved through strong contrast and vibrant color.”
This opening is free to attend and Kurt’s work will be available for purchase.
