EAST MEETS EAST!?

We’re excited to invite you to the Opening Event for the newest artist and first photograhper to adorn our Mount Lebanon Taproom walls - Kelly Lanzendorfer!

We're stoked to have Kelly join us on Friday, July 25th, from 5-7pm to showcase her work, which demonstrates both the straightforward and experimental, playful side of photography. During the event, she'll also be selling prints, stickers, zines, and other goodies!

Kelly is a local film photographer, educator, and owner of Eastern Standard Photo, a film lab and education space in Wilkinsburg. ESP provides development and scanning for film photography along with a plethora of workshops in a friendly, welcoming space for anyone interested in the practice, whether they’re just starting out or have been taking photos for years.

“Kelly Lanzendorfer is a photographer and educator living in Wilkinsburg, PA. In 2021, she opened Eastern Standard Photo, a studio and film lab with a focus on community. With 20 years of experience shooting film and a decade of teaching others how to do the same, ESP became the obvious landing place for continued learning and sharing.

Her personal work is heavily based in experimentation and nostalgia, two things film caters to beautifully. The decision to make an image is often rooted in emotion–recognizing an old feeling rising to the surface again, eager to hang on to it this time. As analog photography requires an amount of slowness and intentionality, Kelly finds there to be a meditative quality to the process-heavy medium. Within that, there are many areas where mistakes and discoveries can be made.”
