GRATITUDE DAY 2023

Since our very first year of operation, we’ve had Gratitude… both that warm feeling of thankfulness AND the warm feeling that comes with a sip of the beer that carries this name. Gratitude Barleywine has become an annual tradition for East End Brewing, and more recently Gratitude Release Day day has taken on a new form, involving other members of Pittsburgh’s beer making community.

As part of our 18 year tradition, we’ll be opening up at 11:00am on Saturday, February 25th to kick off Gratitude Day! Service will work more or less like normal, with the exception of a separate station for all packaged beer sales. Here’s a breakdown of the special offerings that’ll be on sale that day:

The Perfect Pizza for Gratitude

• For the week of Gratitude Day, we are bringing back one of our 2022 Pizza Poll winning pies that we think will make the perfect accompaniment to some Barleywine. This pie will be available whole or by the slice and can be made vegetarian or vegan:

  • Blue Shroom
    Rosemary olive oil, mozzarella, sausage or housemade TVP sausage, roasted mushrooms, blue cheese, hot honey drizzle.

• The big flavors and umami profile of The Blue Shroom, with a hint of sweetness from the hot honey is guaranteed to stand up to the bold flavors of Gratitude.

• Our full menu will be available as well, including our pretzels made with Gratitude!
