For the most part, we're a "Draft Only" operation. So aside from a dozen or so hand-bottled specialty beers we offer throughout the year at the brewery, the BEST way to get our beer is at one of our locations in a Growler, fresh-filled while you wait (AND now you can wait with a PINT in hand!). Or for those looking to make a bigger commitment, we also offer Kegs.
We brew about 35 different beers each year. Most are distributed to bars and restaurants through Western PA by our Master Distributor, Vecenie Distributing. But to find our small batch and hand-bottled brews, you'll need to come to us.

OUR YEAR ROUND BEERS
Distributed in halves and sixtels. Quarters are available by special order.
Big Hop IPA
Loads of Centennial and Cascade hops make this a truly American IPA, brewed to be nice and hoppy but not especially bitter. Balanced with a solid Munich Malt backbone. Our flagship beer, and by far our most popular overall.
Black Strap Stout
An American Stout brewed with Black Strap Molasses and Brown Sugar - robust and roasty with notes of dark chocolate, and black coffee. Extremely dark, balanced with light sweetness, and a modest American hop flavor.
Fat Gary Nut Brown Ale
Once part of our Session Ale series, and now a year-round beer, this deep brown ale is surprisingly light in body and low in alcohol. Dark malt character, light sweetness and modest alcohol content make it a beer that you can spend the day with and not hurt yourself.
Swinging from tank to tank around here, we've come up with the perfect way to enjoy a bright sparkling taste of summer, no matter what the season may be. Now a year round offering, this hefeweizen carries a distinct banana ester profile, and crisp finish. No bananas were harmed or peeled in the brewing of this beer. It's just a little side benefit that our German yeast strain gives us.

East End Witte
(Spring) A "Belgian White" wheat beer, gently spiced with coriander and bitter orange peel. Light bodied with hints of orange and lemon. A great beer to have in hand as Spring arrives in Pittsburgh, which can take a while.
Pedal Pale Ale
(May thru Oct) An American Pale Ale, crisp and hoppy with light malt sweetness, fruity esters, and very mild bitterness (in spite of being hopped four times). Each Spring we release it with our KEG RIDE, a charity event consisting of a low speed group ride, following the first kegs of the year to a mystery tap spot. And if you ride, the first beer's on us!
Big Hop Harvest Ale
(Fall) Each fall, we take your year-round favorite, Big Hop IPA and do something special with it to celebrate the September hop harvest. There’s a small window where we can get fresh-picked, undried, locally grown hops to toss into the kettle. These “wet hops” provide a truly unique flavor and aroma, almost like the smell of freshly cut grass – if your lawn was completely planted with American hops! Available starting in late September/early October and lasting until it’s all gone.
Snow Melt Winter Ale
(Nov-Apr) A rich malty, deep ruby-red, winter ale, best used for frost removal, holiday toasting, and guaranteed to clear the fog off your glasses. Released with the first snowflakes of the year, and lasting until it all melts in March...or maybe April. Hopefully.
(Oct-Nov) How many pumpkins do we use in this beer? NONE... Hence the name! It's not like you can actually taste the squash anyway, so let's be up front and honest about it, ok? Only available when the Nunkins are in season!
Chocolate Covered Cherry Stout
(Starting in February) 44 lbs of Belgian Dark Chocolate plus some American Cocoa Powder, all wrapped around a subtle taste of Michigan sour cherries, in a rich stout beer. Always on tap for Valentine's Day, and lasting until it's all gone.

Lord Nordsberry Belgian Ale
A tasty dark belgian ale of unknown style origins, brewed with multiple fruit additions, farmhouse ale yeast, and other ideas from the mind of one our brewers, Nordy.
A limited-edition Belgian specialty ale created as a fundraiser for the ToonSeum. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of each 750ml bottle will directly benefit the ToonSeum. The beer is a bottle-conditioned ale, brewed with a farmhouse ale yeast which adds spice and nuance to the rich dark malt character. Six artists create six new labels for the beer, each time it is released.
Eye Opener Coffee Porter
The perfect marriage of good coffee and GOOD BEER, just like it is here, at our base of brewing operations on Julius Street. Yes, we share a bit of our Growler Room with our GOOD FRIENDS at Commonplace Coffee. And we share space in bottles and kegs now too.
A limited edition Barleywine Style Ale, brewed in the American tradition and hand packaged to specially commemorate the yearly anniversary of the brewery. Returning every year in bottle conditioned form, and an occasional keg on tap at the brewery and around town.
Smokestack Heritage Porter
We often see this beer in the #1 spot on Beer Advocate in the Smoked Beer category, which is shocking given the infrequency and limited amout of this beer we make. But we'll take it! Usually bottled, but occasional draft. Often appearing as part of out mid-Winter FESTIVAL OF DARKNESS series.
The Ugly American
A perfectly enjoyable classic Belgian Trippel corrupted almost beyond recognition with a completely inappropriate amount of US hops. Only in America can such excessive excesses be fully appreciated, celebrated, and enjoyed.
Around 3% ABV
This was a beer from our Session Ale series that we still get a lot of calls about - presumably because we're the first Commercial American Brewery to brew some. We did two batches of it with Tom Baker a while back, and revisited the style again a couple times since. We circled back to this one most recently in April of 2015.
Toaster Imperial Stout
We checked the gift registry, and appliances are appropriate for our Fourth Anniversary. This beer is an Imperial version of our Black Strap Stout, this time brewed with MORE blackstrap molasses and MORE brown sugar, plus a whole lot more malt and hops too. Part of our FESTIVAL OF DARKNESS and certainly the thickest, darkest, most viscous beer we've ever brewed. We'll brew it again just as soon as we have another 4th Anniversary. Or okay, maybe on the 5th anniversary of our 4th anniversary... that was in 2014.
A nod to East End's start in our old Homewood location, this beer is our Black Strap Stout that's been aged in freshly emptied oak Bourbon Barrels for 8 or 9 months, and then blended it with a bit of fresh stock. Occasionally a little will make it on tap for special events, but usually it's released only in bottles, late in the year, for the holiday beer season. Aging not required - we've done that for you already.
