You may have read that there was a possibility of the Pittsburgh Public Market shortening it's Friday Hours to close at 4pm instead of at 6pm, as it has been all summer.  Well, here's some GOOD News...

WE WILL STILL BE OPEN UNTIL 6PM ON FRIDAYS IN THE STRIP!

This past weekend (10/21/11), the Public Market has started what we're referring to as "Twilight Hours" on Fridays.  No, the market will not be filled with glittery vampires and sweaty werewolves giving smoldering looks to hordes of teen fans.  Let's be clear on that point.  It means that Friday Market Hours will continue until 6pm, but only some of the vendors will close up at 4pm.  We of course, are not closing early.

This really makes the most sense for everyone.  Friday after work is clearly a time when you're thinking about getting your Growler filled.  You demonstrate that every single week!  But maybe picking up an evening cup of coffee, some pastries, or fresh produce don't exactly top your list of to-do items when you leave work.  It just makes good sense.  And it allows vendors to spend their staffing dollars a little more efficeintly, which in turn increases the overall success of the Public Market's operations.

So to recap, here's our Growler Shop's Friday Hours of Operation:

• FRI 10-6pm (Some Market vendors close at 4pm)
• SAT 9-5pm
• SUN 11-4pm (Market opens at 10am)
