Upcoming Bottle Releases: Save the dates

<<Update 2/17/15: Link to the event page for the Feb 21 release has been added.>>

We've got a total of EIGHT NEW BOTTLES we're getting ready to release. Six of these eight are beers from our "GOOD WOOD Fest" and our "Weird Beer Night" that you might have had at these events on draft during our Brewpub Grand Opening Week, or in the weeks that followed. (Crystal Schip is on as I write this.) But these releases are for the BOTTLED versions, and they're almost ready... finally!

Here's the plan, assuming everything goes to plan...

FEB 21: OLD NEBBY, OLD KNOBBY, 2014 HOMEWOOD RESERVE

MAR 7 (Sours): SKETCHY, BRETT HOP, CRYSTAL SCHIP

MAR 14: GRATITUDE BARLEYWINE, BARREL AGED GRATITUDE

As you can see, we're splitting this into three separate releases, partly because it would just be too much silliness for one day, and partly because not all are good to go just yet.

I'll create separate event postings for each of these three days, complete with times and other relevant specific details, just as soon as we get those details sorted out. But for now, I figured I'd better get this out there now for anyone looking to make some plans.

ALSO OF NOTE, PACKAGING CHANGES:

As you may already know, we're making some packaging changes for Gratitude. The paper overwrap sure was beautiful, but it was excruciating for us to do every year. And in the end, it doesn't really make the beer taste any better... Though maybe the waxing helped a bit with aging though, so we'll continue that part of it.

We're also transitioning to a new bottle, going from a 750ml to a 22oz container for all of our BIG bottle offerings. The only beer in this crop of eight that is in the new 22oz bottle is the regular "base model" of Gratitude Barleywine.  It's a little weird that the BA Gratitude is in a different package, but since we packaged that weeks ago, that's just how it shook out. Call it a "transition" year if you need to.  But everything new in a bottle from us will be in these 22oz bottles now.

More details to come!
